Project Description
In the realm of Hadley Wood, a distinguished and multi-award-winning development unfolds—a collection of 9 residential apartments, each meticulously finished to the highest standards. This prestigious project boasts a two-stage underground car park, storage facilities, a gym, swimming pools, and a concierge building with a touch of luxury akin to a hotel, crowned by a later addition of a captivating roof terrace. Building on the triumph of Renaissance/Windmill Place, CMI was entrusted with a new challenge. Tasked with envisioning the feasibility of demolishing a substantial property, we embarked on a thorough feasibility study, which was subsequently presented in a pre-application advice session with the local council. Following the success of this pre-application phase, CMI assumed the role of securing planning permission. As we transitioned into the next phases, including technical design and delivery, our commitment to excellence took center stage. Recognising the inherent challenges of the project, the inaugural step involved a constructability meeting to chart the course for a successful and seamless execution.
About the Project
CMI's insightful recommendations were not only heard but embraced, offering a novel construction approach that surpassed the client's initial expectations. This unconventional method, though initially unexpected, ultimately yielded a significantly improved program compared to projects of a similar nature. In close collaboration with the client and interior designer, CMI played an integral role in introducing fresh details and features, elevating the final project to surpass envisioned expectations. Amidst numerous construction challenges, the project tackled the complexities of a two-stage basement car park and the creation of a sprawling planted podium deck. Notably, individual swimming pools for apartments 1 and 3 added an extra layer of intricacy and sophistication to the overall construction landscape.
