The brief was to design a Community Hall which would be at ease with its surroundings, reflect its heritage but with a modern twist. On top of that it needed to be affordable! CMI Architecture was selected from a shortlist of local Architects. CMI’s very first concept captured the entire wants list with traditional black timber planking under a slate roof. It’s beautiful centre piece gable window instantly links this new Community Hall with its Church roots and looks to central Milton Keynes on the horizon. Leaving CMIA to interface with the timber frame company involving themselves less in architecture and more in the manufacturing process. At this stage I cannot fully express the gratitude and respect I have for CMIA. Thank you CMI for your commitment, your steadfastness and your professionalism in helping ASTRA deliver a unique and beautiful Community Hall to Bow Brickhill.
